Maffia World The online mafia game since 2004

Privacy

What we keep: your email address, the language of the page you signed up on, the version of the consent text at that moment, the time of your request, when you confirmed and when we sent you an email. After you unsubscribe, until the next clean-up, also that you did and when. No IP address, no browser data.

Confirming: after your request you get an email with a link. Only when you confirm with it are you on the list. If you don’t confirm, we erase your address seven days after the last confirmation email, and at most fourteen days after your request.

What for: to send you one message as soon as V6 opens, with the invitation and your priority in picking a family name. Besides that, only the confirmation email and, if you ask for it, your unsubscribe link. Nothing else: no newsletter, no advertising, and we pass nothing on.

How long: until V6 is open and you have received that message. After that we wipe the list within three months.

Unsubscribing: with the link at the bottom of every email from us, with the unsubscribe button of your email app if it has one, or on the unsubscribe page, where you can have your unsubscribe link emailed again. Your address is then no longer used and is removed at the next clean-up of the list; that runs every hour and also erases old requests for an unsubscribe link. An erased address disappears from the backups within seven days.

We send emails with Mailjet (processor: Sinch Mailjet SAS, France). Mailjet gets your email address and the email itself, only to send it. Mailjet keeps your address as a recipient for as long as we use it; if you unsubscribe or we erase your address, we have it erased at Mailjet too. We don’t track whether you open an email or click a link.

Questions about your data, or want to see it, have it erased or get off the list? Email privacy@maffiaworld.nl. Responsible for this data is Locomojo B.V., the publisher of Maffia World.

Cookies and tracking: this page sets no cookies. To see how many people drop by, we count page visits with Umami Cloud (processor: Umami Software). We also note which parts of the page are viewed, which screens you enlarge, whether you switch language and how far a sign-up gets (started, sent, successful or failed, with the reason), without what you type. That sends the page address, the site you came from, your language and your screen size, and like any website Umami sees your IP address and browser; never your email address or what you type in the form. If your browser asks not to be tracked, we do not count you. Apart from that, only your language choice is kept, in your own browser.
